Localhost Port Dashboard — Last updated: April 9, 2026
Localhost Port Dashboard is a browser extension that monitors locally running development servers on your machine. Your privacy is fundamental to how this extension is built.
We collect no data. Specifically:
The extension communicates only with a companion server running on your local machine at 127.0.0.1:9384. This is the loopback address — traffic never leaves your computer.
The extension makes no requests to any external server, API, or third-party service.
The extension requests a single permission:
The extension stores no data in Chrome storage, local storage, or any other persistent storage mechanism. All information is fetched live from the companion server each time the popup is opened.
This extension uses no third-party services, libraries, or SDKs.
The extension and companion server are open source and fully auditable. The companion server uses zero npm dependencies — only Node.js built-in modules.
